Last week I received my first shipment from PINCHme. PINCHme is a company that sends out free samples and sometimes full size products in exchange for your review in a brief survey. You are allowed to choose your own samples and you can have up to three per shipment. I only chose two this time around because I was only interested in these two.

I really do like this program. It's free and easy to sign up. Every two weeks on Tuesday, you can order your next shipment of new items. The next day available to put together your box and order is August 19th. Expect to wait three to four weeks for delivery.

Aveeno Positively Radiant Targeted Tone Corrector

This product's claims: "This targeted treatment helps reduce the look of stubborn dark spots, discolorations, and uneven tone to improve skin’s radiance in just 2 weeks. This concentrated formula combines clinically proven ACTIVE NATURALS® Total Soy Complex, one of nature’s most effective tone correctors, with vitamin A for faster results. It is oil free, noncomedogenic and nonirritating."

After I have thoroughly cleansed and toned my face, I apply the Targeted Tone Corrector. I have combination dry/oily skin and I only use this product without a moisturizer on top. It is moisturizing enough to get rid of dry patches but not so much that you're using oil blotting sheets all day. I really wasn't expecting it to be so moisturizing. 

I will say that if you do not enjoy scented skin care products this may not be for you. I would agree that this product has a "clean" scent but it also has a very slight perfume-like fragrance that lingers for a few minutes.

Here are the top five reasons why I love this product:

1. I'm a sucker for fragrance. I love the clean and feminine smell to it.
2. My skin is seriously so noticeably radiant! When you get compliments from strangers about your glowing skin, you know you're doing something right.
3. It moisturizes my skin with out making it oily. Your skin just drinks it up! I've been skipping out on my moisturizer because this product leaves no dry patches behind.
4. Not only does this product give you radiant skin but it evens out your skin tone--which only enhances your foundation application and gives you the confidence to ditch the foundation altogether. 
5. It's affordable and you get a lot of product in each tube. A little goes a long way here. And regardless of how much you apply, your skin won't feel heavy and it won't clog your pores.

Now for what I dislike:

I honestly have nothing negative to say about it. Maybe some would want the product to work faster when it comes to the reducing skin discoloration claim, but any products with super fast results aren't without a cost to your skin. 

Recommendations:

1. Use both morning and night, consistently for better results.
2. Only apply to clean face.
3. Moisturizer can be optional--depends on your skin type.


I received this product complimentary from Influenster for testing purposes. That being said, I was not required to give a positive review--I genuinely love this product. This is something I see myself purchasing in the future and implementing as a permanent part of my skin care regimen.

My mom always said no sweets after brushing my teeth--she never said anything about during! 

I've only tried two of the three flavors as of yet. I thought what better way to test these out than to invite others to join me! I had my little sister, my mom and my dad try it out with me the same time that I did. It became this really fun family bonding time as we tried to gauge each others reactions. The Mint Chocolate Trek really impressed all four of us! There were a lot of wide-eyed and incredulous expressions. It was a total hit! They loved the intensity of the flavor but agreed that it was a it over-the-top for everyday use. So they decided that of the two they tried (yesterday night and this morning) the Vanilla Mint was the most practical. We were impressed that something that tasted so good, could clean so well--speaking of both toothpastes. The general consensus was that with these, you get all of the fun of a kid's toothpaste with the benefits of an adult's. 

Mint Chocolate Trek, so far, is my favorite. I love the way the flavor just explodes in your mouth and engages your senses. I was really skeptical of this product because I thought that cleaning power would be forsaken for flavor--so not the case. I have braces, so it's really important for me to keep my teeth clean and this toothpaste did not disappoint. My breath was still fresh and my teeth had that really satisfying clean feel to them. I love this stuff--it's so much fun! 

Maybe not for everyday use but as an every now and again pick-me-up, it's perfect.

There are several different combinations of boxes you can receive that are tailored to your tastes; you have a say in what you get in your box. My box is Classic with a Twist. The coral color is called Madison and the fuchsia is Maddy.

Alright, so the other day I received this package in the mail. This is a Julep Maven monthly subscription beauty box. They primarily specialize in nail polish and nail care but they also have some beauty products thrown in. This subscription costs around $24 dollars a month but your first box is free (you do have to pay for shipping). 

So, I was curious and decided to check it out. This was my first and only box and it only cost me $2.99 for shipping. The nail polish colors are beautiful and vibrant. They kind of have a subtle fruity scent to them, on top of the typical nail polish scent. They also have a beautiful shine even without a top-coat. Two layers of this stuff and you're set.

Beside the two nail polishes is their Rock Star hand creme. The scent is okay but mildly disappointing. It is very moisturizing though and it leaves no greasy residue.

All that to say, I will not be subscribing to this company. I'm really more of a makeup person and I don't see myself spending so much each month for this. It's not worth it to me. There are countless drugstore brands that I love that I can spend way less on. I'll stick with those.

Any time I whip this out people are always asking to borrow it. t reminds them of similar pens they've used growing up. It's been nice talking with people about childhood memories associated with the different products that have been really popular in the past, such as this pen. It really is a great pen.
